Worship: where and when

WORSHIP

In 2012 we were linked with our sister congregation of Stonehaven Dunnottar.

As a result we worship week by week in different locations as follows:

1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at the South Church, Cameron Street

2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at Dunnottar Church, Dunnottar Woods.

Any 5th Sundays at St Bridget’s Hall Church, Dunnottar Avenue

for all-age worship with a difference.

All Sunday morning services begin at 10.30am.

Services for key points in the Christian Year are shared between the congregations of the linkage and the wider community. Please see the Calendar for more details.

All are welcome to join us at the Lord’s Table.  Children may participate if their parents wish but alternative activities are usually provided for most morning services.

We use grape juice at all services. If requested a gluten free alternative to bread will be available.

WORSHIP PLANNING

As a general guidleine we follow the Reformed Church Calendar and Lectionary readings. The relevant Gospel texts are intimated in advance in the church magazines so members of the congregation may prepare themselves for worship through prior reading, reflection and prayer.

Meetings of the MInister and members of both the South and Dunnottar congregations meet on a regualr basis to plan, to prepare and to pray for all our worship servces.  All constructive feedback on past services and any thoughts and ideas for the future are always welcome,
