Worship at South on 3rd March 2019

Our service, led by Dr Ibi Daramola, on Transfiguration Sunday opened with the introit ‘Praise God from whom all blessings flow’ from the choir. David Sell was the guest organist inspiring our praise. With gales blowing and sun shining, it was a great day to converse with the young people about walking with Jesus and ascending to the mountain top, the one from which we can’t be blown away.

In our world of ‘busyness’ and noise we need to find our own time and place of calm, our own ‘mountain top’ to communicate with God and perhaps more importantly, to listen to Him.

When Jesus communed with His Father on the mountain top, as Moses and Elijah had done, he was transformed. Seeking God in prayer and meditation offers that same opportunity to us. Now that is worth knowing!
